9 Easy to Apply Study Skills and Strategies

Here are some easy tips on study skills and strategies to use:


  1. Get a tutor to assist you with the difficult subjects.  If you can’t afford a teacher, then ask a classmate to come along so you can share the costs.
  2. Use mind mapping to take notes and memorise notes, textbook
  3. Work with a classmate once a week to swap ideas and discuss problems
  4. At the end of the class, ask  for the teacher’s help on any problems you may encounter
  5. Review your notes and work at the end of the day to refresh your knowledge
  6. Drink fresh green tea
  7. If you find it hard to motivate yourself to study, take a break.  If you still find it hard to study, ask a friend or family member to coach and motivate you to study.  Sometimes kind, encouraging words are the best motivators.
  8. Schedule your timetable to allow a balance between leisure, relaxation and study
  9. If you have any problems or issues, you must try to solve it immediately.  Having issues in your mind can distract you from concentrating on your studies.
  10. Close the door while you are studying to reduce noise and distractions
